April 25 Night at Tucker. Join the Slate
River Band at Tucker Park on the edge of the James River on Maidens Road, for
an evening of music, food, and fun from 6-9 p.m. Food Truck: River City Wood
Fire Pizza; Drink Truck: Sippin’ Spoon; Rotary will be selling adult beverages
throughout the event. Sponsored by Goochland County Parks and Rec.
April 26 Goochland-Powhatan Master Gardeners annual spring garden fest and plant sale from 8-3 at Reynolds Community College, 1851 Dickinson Road, Goochland, 23063. · April 26 Goochland Powhatan Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) community challenge from 4-6 p.m. The Challenge is a fun vehicular scavenger hunt where participants spend time with SELF-FORMED teams, consisting of friends, family, or new acquaintances. Solve clues, complete tasks, and explore the beautiful landscapes of Goochland and Powhatan. Accumulate points by accomplishing challenge tasks that support CASA, our community, and our sponsors. May 7 Kates Day at the Virginia Correctional
Center for Women in Goochland Courthouse Village. This annual event, sponsored
by the Elizabeth Kates Foundation, named in honor of the facility’s first
warden, offers crafts and beautiful plants and flowers grown by the inmates in
the horticulture program. Proceeds support scholarship, literacy, and vocational

May 16 and 17 Goochland Day Concert, parade
and festival. Following a Friday evening concert featuring Mash Up Band and
Please Be kind Rewind for a 90’s throwback experience, the parade through
Goochland Courthouse Village begins at 10 a.m. Starting at 11 the festival begins
